For a chi-square test you need to have a minimum of five values in each cell. Since there are several categories with less than 5 we need to combine them together.

I combined the less than grade 8 with some high school and the masters and PhD categories into one. I then performed the chi-square test to look for an association. I got a chi-square value of 6.53 with 4 degrees of freedom. The p-value was .16 suggesting there is not enough evidence to conclude that there is an association between education level an ownership (we fail to reject the Null Hypothesis).
