Question 293:

1

Answer:

No answer provided yet.You could use a z-score in school to find how well you scored on a test. For example, if you took a test and got 80 out of 100 questions correct, how well did you do? To find out you'd need to know the mean and standard deviation of the test. If for example the mean of the test was 70 questions correct and the standard deviation was 10 you would calculate the z-score as (80-70)/10 = 1. Using the z-score to percentile calculator or just knowing the properties of the normal curve  we know this corresponds to the 84th percentile. So your score of 80 was better than about 84% of your classmates.
