Question 105:

1

Answer:

No answer provided yet.I’m not aware of a table which has the precision you are looking for and I don’t recall how to customize SAS for that many decimals. My recommendation is to do the computation by hand (or write a SAS macro), it’s not very difficult. You just need the correlation coefficient r, and the sample size. There is a walk-through calculation here. once you get the critical value, you can use excel’s function TDIST to get the area of the t-distribution and excel allows you to have over 15 decimal digits. Of course, keep in mind, that the algorithms that are used to calculate the area are based on approximations, which depending on the one being used, might not be accurate to more than 3 or 4 digits.
