No answer provided yet.Use the t-test, it is designed for testing samples from a population, especially when the population parameters (the mean, the standard deviation) are unknown. You can also take into account the sample size in the t-test (using degrees of freedom), whereas with the z-test assumes your sample is very large. The good news is, as your sample size increases, the results from both the t-test and z-test converge, so they will only differ by fractions of decimals until they ultimately converge.
