A random sample will be selected from the adult residents of a particular city, the sample proportion will be used to estimate p, the proportion of all adult residents who are registered to vote. You are given 3 sets of n and p and asked which situation will the estimate tend to be closest to the actual value. What am I missing here, how can you get an estimate of p from a sample size and actual p??
